escif x idem

Paris . 2021

After a year locked up in his studio, Escif returns to Paris to work in one of the most emblematic art printers in Europe: Idem prints. Located in the Parisian district of Montparnasse and built in 1881 by the printer Emile Dufrénoy. In 1976 it passed into the hands of Fernand Mourlot and took the name of Mourlot Printing, welcoming artists such as Matisse, Picasso, Braque, Giacometti and Calder, among other masters of 20th century painting. In 1997 it changed its name to Idem, and today it is an emblematic space that invites creation, a meeting point for the main artists on the French and international scene.
